Our updates and Powerbase project results

We are keen to share with you the big news

Powerbase project success!

The 3-year European grant-funded project Powerbase was completed last month. The next generation of energy-saving chips for use in smartphones, laptop computers and many other applications were prepared for mass industrial production.

Quantemol contributed to plasma process modelling, in particular, development of a “smart manufacturing” approach analysing the plasma processes involved on various scales: chemical reactions, feature scale and reactors scale, making links between all of the levels

The project has sparked a new idea for our database of pre-assembled plasma chemistry data, which now forms part of the plasma modelling software libraries. This idea has been implemented through the launch of www.quantemolDB.com, where chemistry sets which were developed and validated for Powerbase industrial gas mixtures are located.

The data validation has been done with 0D and 2D models by Dr Sebastian Mohr, Dr Sara Rahimi, Dr Ade Ayilaran and models were uploaded by Dr Gwyn Evans. Sign up for FREE and check it out following the hyperlinks of the:

See you at DAMOP in Florida!

49th Annual DAMOP Meeting
May 28 – June 1, 2018

The Division of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (DAMOP) annual meeting will be held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, USA. Prof. Tennyson will be presenting at the conference a talk:

Electron-molecule collision calculations for plasma physics applications

Time:

  • Date: Wednesday 30 May
  • Time: 10:30 AM–11:00 AM.
  • Session: J07 Applications of Electron and Photon-Molecule Collisions
  • Location: Room Grand D

If you want to discuss what cross sections data you need and if Quantemol-Ncan calculate it, please let us know replying to this email and we can arrange a meeting at the conference.
